Amber, Without pictures or a description of marks on the base, it is impossible to tell who made your stein. However, the words you provided lead me to believe that your stein is depicting a tavern scene because the quote is part of a poem “Die Lindenwirtin”, written by Rudolph Baumbach in 1876 and set to music in 1878 by Franz Wilhelm Abt. The poem honors Ännchen Schumacher (1860-1935), perhaps the most famous innkeeper in German history and a popular figure with German students. The first verse of that poem (in English) reads:
“No more drops in the beaker,
and the purse is slack and empty,
with a parched heart and tongue,
smitten am I with your wine,
    and your eyes’ bright shine,
    Linden hostess so young!”
