    Hi Everyone,
    I have listed a stein on eBay as:- WWI stein soldier wife lithophane 10/20 ltr. engraved lid German soldier handle.

    Can anybody tell me the maker and age please.

    Well the lid engraving is dated June 26th, 1920, for what that’s worth.

    Mark,
    It was initially designed to be a reservist stein, but was used for a German scene instead. Most porcelain lithophanes were not marked, so we can’t tell you who made it. The best we can say on age is circa 1900.
