I have had this stein for over 50 years. The stein itself stands 28 3/4 inches high with a ceramic “knight” cap which brings the overall height to 37 1/2 inches.
I have never been able to find this 965 number, find anything of this size or anyone who could place a value on it.
Thank you for any help with my questions. Andrew
The stein can be found in the Reading Section under Old Manufacturing Catalogs.
It is a 20 liter relief stein. It features Charles I (Charlemagne) who ruled from 768 to 814. Its value would depend on its condition. Since it is not listed in The Beer Stein Library or in My Stein Collection, it is not common. It should be worth several hundred dollars in mint condition.
