KatjaMy husband collects beer steins, preferably the older ones. This one he bought from an antique dealer back in Germany a few years ago. I have searched the internet left and right and I cannot seem to find either the same or a similar one. The only mark on it says “Der erste Kuss” (The first kiss). It has a lithophane picture of what seems to be two women reading a letter at the kitchen table. We were told it is dated around 1900.
Can anyone put a value on it by chance? Thank you! -

Katja –
go to https://www.beerstein.net/
type in Der erste Kuss in the search box
About a dozen steins show up – one might be yours.
If not please repost with some pictures.

RonKatja,
About the only thing we can tell you about your stein is that it is made of porcelain as lithophanes only appear on porcelain steins. Your stein was purchased a few years ago, so it could be new, vintage or antique (as someone has suggested). You need to post a photo for more help. You will not find your stein in the previous post, because the only porcelain steins listed in the catalogs are character steins. Most porcelain steins do not have marks or mold numbers. The site in the previous post may help identify the scene on your stein.

KatjaI followed the link provided in one of the replies and there are a few that come close to it. However, neither one of them is the one we have. I know that it is an antique and not a replica.
