Why is Franz Ringer called Franz Wrestler on some steins?

    Robert,
What steins do you see that have “Franz Wrestler” on them? Are you confusing this with people that translate “Ringer” to “Wrestler” as that is the English word it translates to?

If you type in to the Internet “Franz Wrestler” there are a large group of Franz Ringer steins. The one that I’m asking about is the Biederman eating a plate of food in a party setting.

      Robert,

When you do a search, the images come up randomly. I have no idea what stein you are looking at, but I am sure the name “Franz Wrestler” or the initials “FR” do not appear on it. The search engine is translating “Wrestler” to “Ringer.” That is why you are getting the listing. The style he generally used was Biedermeier (1815-1848), not Biederman.
