Walter, The last Oktoberfest stein I have with the FS mark is 1987. I asked Rastal about the Oktoberfest stein production and they told me that Franz Stöber produced them in the early years because production runs were too low for Rastal to try to produce. Franz Stöber also was used by Rastal for other production needs. Rastal cited an agreement with the Oktoberfest officials that prohibits them from disclosing the production runs. Rastal did not state where Franz Stöber was located, but I got the impression it might have been in Munich, although I was never able to locate a source for him. You will also note that Rastal switched the capacity mark from the left side of the handle to the right side. Rastal told me there was no particular reason for doing so.
