I have a collection of Oktoberfest Jahreskruege. All of them except the 1979 edition has the "rastal Hohr Grenzhausen" stamp on the bottom. Does anyone know why it is missing from the 1979 issue? Here is a link to a photograph of the bottom of the 1979 issue: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3651302&l=0aa6ea04dc&id=541120630

Here is a link to a photograph of the bottom of the 1978 issue which shows the "rastal" stamp: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3651156&l=6a8e71e72e&id=541120630 I have written to Rastal in an attempt to get an answer; however, to date I've had no response. One other thing I have noticed on the 1979 issue is that there appears to be defects in how the design was applied to the mug. It looks like there may have been tiny air bubbles under the print but were subsequently glazed over.

Here is a link to a photograph of the 1979 design: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3651301&l=6683f2aac1&id=541120630 What I refer to as a manufacturing defect appears in the photograph as very small white dots, primarily on the horse's rear quarter, but to a lesser degree on other areas of the design. The 1979 edition was manufactured by Franz Stoeber. The only other 1979 Jahreskrug that I've seen has the same type of flaws and is also missing the "rastal" stamp. Is there anyone out there who has a 1979 Jahreskrug with the "rastal" stamp? Does anyone have a 1979 Jahreskrug that doesn't have the flaws? Is it possible the mug did not meet quality control standards of Rastal and that is why their stamp doesn't appear on it? Any thoughts, comments or photos would be appreciated.
