I bought this stein today at an antique mall.It is 18.5 inches tall, blue & gray,it is made by Thewalt.The design is scrolls,bands,heraldic emblems.The lid is stoneware with a figurine finial.My question is why is it called a senators cup beer stein,is there a history behind this stein?
