Take a look at this one Mettlach collectors — http://cgi.ebay.com/ANTIQUE-METTLACH-GERMAN-PORCELAIN-STEIN-VILLEROY-BOCH_W0QQitemZ110429559603QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAntiques_Decorative_Arts?hash=item19b61d5b33 — an eight-color version of Mettlach #1095. It's numbered on the base and appears to be dated 1930 (post-fire), but the numbers are not done in the normal Mettlach type face, and it doesn't carry a Mettlach logo. The lid rim has an impressed pewterer's mark that reads "M. Wittmann". Any insights?
