Yours - made in Western Germany - is considered a reproduction, even if they used the original molds. It was a "different" piece when it was designed, and it doesn't fit easily into any particular category. I think the curiosity factor is as much a part of its appeal to today's collector as anything else, and the value is modest - $25-35 if you find the right buyer.
