The vast majority of regimental steins named to field artillery units had finials with a small field cannon or less frequently seen, a larger Model 96 field cannon. When the small field cannon finial is used, often you will see two artillerymen standing behind their weapon. If you are having a finial added to your field artillery stein, I would strongly suggest you use a cannon. There are probably some examples of horse and rider finials on field artillery steins, but that would be the exception rather than the rule. Finally, to your question, my resources show that the helmets used by the 2nd Rhenish Field Artillery Regiment No. 23 for parades were the same as their duty helmets, i.e. no parade bush. As I'm sure you know, the field artillery duty helmets were the traditional leather helmets with a ball on a post (instead of a spike) on top. I hope this is helpful.
