I have had this stein since by father died in 1994. He purchased it on a trip to Europe in around 1950. It is in excellent condition and has the ceramic insert on the lid. I do believe it to be authentic from what I can gather. It is rather dirty on the lid. My question is do i clean it, or leave it be?? Any insight would be helpful, as well as the rarity. Thanks
