Martyn,Yes,On the pewter is a small impressed mark-a small circle,in the circle is a shield with the Bavarian criss cross markings of the Bavarian flag,No.8 on one side of the shield and a No.6 on the other side and 84 under the shield.Lid is engreved with the letters Y W.Swirl markes on the bottom,body is brown with spirl lines on it.David
