Hi all, I recently acquired a restored but nice Westerwald jug, a so called Sternkrug: http://paul.vormjebeeld.nl/westerwaldkan.JPG . I think the body is late 17th century but that the lid is a later addition. The lid is marked on the inside with a pewterer's mark, and I am hoping that someone here might be able to date the lid for me on the basis of that mark.
