Kevin, King Werk or Original King is a modern producer of beer steins. Is the Phoenix you refer to possibly an eagle? If so, it may be the Coat of Arms of the German Empire 1889-1918. See www.germanmart.com/mainstore/product_detail/beersteins/ by going about half way down the page. Ron
