For some reason, my great-aunt decided to paint the lids on 2 lovely 4F Olympic steins I inheireted. Have any of you ever attempted to remove paint from a pewter lid? They were painted approximately 50 years ago.The paint is very dull-looking which tells me it is probably not enamel. Any suggestions? Thank you!
