Walter, I believe the RW refers to R Wagner of Mettlach, Germany. I believe he was a finishing firm that primarily did work in pewter. He did some of the pewter lids for Mettlach, see my Featured Stein for May 2004 in the archives section of the Featured Stein. I have also seen pressed glass steins with his name in the glass, but he probably had these made for him elsewhere. Ron
