Re. Your stein G.M.T. & Bro - I believe this stein was manufactured by Diesinger for G.M.T. & Bro which was an import company located in NY. This stein was manufactured specifically for export to the US. This stein appears to have the Diesinger style #16 handle as shown in the book "A Collector's Guide to Diesinger Steins" By Patricia & Eugene Manusov. The beading is also characteristic of a Diesinger and the mold number 3121 is also consistent. The Beer Stein Library does not have any information on this mold number, but it does show that 3116 was also stamped with "G.M.T.& Bro" substantiating that Diesinger made steins for them. The Diesinger company was in operation from about 1860 until approximately 1910. Based on the G.M.T. stamp, I would estimate your stein was produced after 1900. The value is obviously based on condition and many other factors, but a rough ball park figure would probably be in the $80 - $120 +/- range. You can find additional info about Diesinger at http://www.steinmarks.co.uk/pages/pv.asp?p=stein55 and also find a little info about GMT & Bro at http://www.steinmarks.co.uk/pages/pv.asp?p=stein715 and a little more at http://www.porcelainmarksandmore.com/usa/newyork_2/00.php Hope this helps.
