Peter, Supposedly, D&B stopped producing steins in the late 1930s. I have an old D&B catalog that lists 963 as being 1/2 L terra sigillata (dark red body). They were known to have made other versions, such as cobalt blue or a light blue body. Can you post a photo of your stein, including the markings? You can look at the various factory marks on Stein Marks, see the Library section of this site. Ron
