I have a stein that was passed down in my family, I do have a picture but not sure how to attach it. It is different then other steins I have been looking at. It has a flat top that is pewter or some sort of metal and an inlaid ceramic circle that is painted on and said PROSIT! on a banner with two owls? the painting on the actual stein looks like some kind of war with horses and a man being attacked by a bull. next to the handle in the painting 1496 The handle is also ceramic but looks like a twisted tree trunk. The war scene is bordered top and bottom with purple/pink flowers with a blue background. The top does have this pewter like thing you put your thumb on to open. The bottom is carved Germany 1496. it also has a number on the bottom that says 09***, I don't have it in front of me and I can't remember the exact numbers.
