Part I Jenn, I will comment on some of the steins based upon the photo#s as they appear: Photos 6-8 – I suspect this may be a Marzi & Remy stein, but due to the quality of the photos and the lack of any displayed steinmark, I can’t be sure. You may want to check out this link to see if any of the marks shown there are found on your stein - http://www.steinmarks.co.uk/pages/pv.asp?p=stein164 Photos 9 &10 are of a Villeroy & Boch Mettlach .3 liter relief stein and is related to master stein 1169 Both The Mettlach Book by Gary Kirsner, 1994 Edith and The Beer Stein Library - http://www.beerstein.net/library.asp - show this stein as having an inlaid lid. I’m not versed enough to be able to tell you if the lid on yours is original or if it is a replacement. Kirsner estimates the value of this stein at $180.00 and the Beer Stein Library shows a value of $100 – 150. You can following this link to learn more about the V&B Mettlach mark - http://www.steinmarks.co.uk/pages/pv.asp?p=stein270 Photos 1 – 15 are another Mettlach – a .5 liter etched stein. The Beer Stein Library provides a translation of the German saying as “Barley juice and hops, served by a pretty hand, are wonderous drops for everyone in the wide German land”. The art work on this stein was done by F. Quidenus who is known to have designed several steins and plaques for V&B. Here is a link for more info on this artist - http://www.beerstein.net/articles/s8512.htm The Beer Stein Library estimates the value of this stein as $400 - $550 and Kirsner’s book shows a value of about $550.
