Ginkgo, What you have are contemporary steins that do not have a lot of value at present. Who knows in 100 years. The puzzle mug is not worth reparing as it can be replaced. The object of the puzzle mug is to cover the correct hole so the liquid does not come out the remaining holes. The Thewalt 1290 is a copy of the original Thewalt stein. The German verse per The Beer Stein Library is “Das Leben ist ein Würfelspiel, wir würfeln alle Tage, dem einen gibt das Schicksal viel, dem andern Müh’ und Plage.” (Life is a game of dice, we roll them every day, to one fate gives much, to another pain and trouble.) You can probably see this stein on eBay to see what it is going for. Ron
