Condition matters greatly too, a $600 stein can turn into a $200 stein because of just a hairline. I would buy the Mettlach book & Beer Stein book by Kirsher, each will run you about $40, you'll know alot more then. Better yet, keep them and join SCI, you have one hell of a collection to start out with.
