Some general info for you regimental collectors out there: While researching an old Rosskopf & Gerz catalog of circa 1914 I came across their mold numbers 680, 681 and 682. They respectively are described as "Bierseidel, Hohlboden zum Bemalen für Kavalerie und Artillerie" (680), "Bierseidel, Hohlboden zum Bemalen für Infanterie"(681) and "Bierseidel, Flachboden zum bemalen für Infanterie" (682). Translations: Beerstein hollow base for further decoration, for cavalry and artillery (680), Beerstein hollow base for further decoration, for infantery (681) and Beerstein flat base for further decoration, for infantery. Molds 680 and 681 are 1/2L capacity. Mold 682 is a 1 liter model. The catalog price for these were 0.75 marks for the 1/2L models and 1 mark for the 1L model. They were supplied without a lid. prosit! Paul van Eck
