i have one that might be similar. It is made of either stamped brass or copper and is similar to yours. From your photos I can't tell if the base is metal or pottery, although if it is light weight it is not pottery (there are examples that look similar but they are actually "bronzed" over pottery like baby's shoes used to be.)--Lyn
