David, This is not the official beer stein for Munich's Oktoberfest. Beck is not even a Munich brewery. Many breweries put out a special Oktoberfest beer in the Fall. Think that is what Beck did in 1993, and 2002 is the tenth anniversary of that special brew. Ron
