Parker and Bill, Thewalt was founded in late 1893, but didn't begin operations until 1894. It started out as a cork factory and did not get into steins on a full-time basis until 1897 when Wilhelm Anton Kamp, its chief designer, joined the firm in 1897. The 1894 date on the bottom of your stein refers to the date production began, not the date of the original mold. Ron
