I am in possession of three extremely rare **AUFWENDIG HANDGEFERTIGT & KUNSTLERISCH HANDBEMALT LIMITIERTE EDITION** Steins. They are KFOR Steins that have an interesting history and because of this history, we aren't able to find any information. In 1999, while my finacee was deployed during the conflict in Kosovo, right after the NATO bombing, these were waiting to be released. The NATO troops had the opportunity to purchase them before their official release. They were purchased IN Kosovo at Camp Montieth. Which was the Russian Sector. Serbia was unhappy and felt that NATO was favoring the Albanians, because the Albanian flag was featured on these steins, while just a map of Serbia was pictured above it. A few hours after my fiancee purchased our steins, AAFES pulled the boxes of steins out of their trailer and destroyed the remaining steins under orders of NATO. There were 5000 of each design made, and there were "maybe" 100 sold before they were destroyed. There is a card inside each stein from the Willi Geck Company. They are "Confirmation of Limitation" registration cards. Each stein is hand-numbered. Although we have searched several sites online, we have never been able to find them to get an estimated value.
