Jordan,Hi! Another book which is useful is"Das Munchner Kindl"produced by the Munchner Stadtmuseum. It has a photo of 4 early HB steins in date order,plus a good article on generic Bavarian steins. A tip to recognising an early stein is if it has a combed body,probably to help grip the stein. Martyn
