Theresa, SteinMarks lists the date of the mark as 1903-1936 (when Hoehr and Grenzhausen merged). Keramik-Marken Lexikon lists the date of the mark as 1903-16. MySteinCollection shows the date of the design as ca 1910 in one place and 1900-10 in another place. The R. Merkelbach catalog of 1905 only shows molds up to 2002. Mehlem is not listed in that book. I would say that the design dates from circa 1910 and it could have been made up to 1916 or perhaps later, depending on who you believe. While most of the references spell in Karl Mehlem, Keramik-Marken Lexikon spells it Carl Mehlem, which would have been more common at the turn of 19th century. As far as price, it depends where and how you sell it. Stein auction sites and antique stores will be higher, but the seller's realized prices are less due to the overhead associated with the sale. The eBay prices will be lower due to shipping costs, unknown sellers, less collector/buyers and other factors. There are some stein auction catalogs you can review on the Links section of this site.
