In the 2011 book by J. Schimanski, "Braun geflammt und grau gesalzen", there is a re-print of an original model-book by Merkelbach. In it, Model 2276 is mentioned as having been designed by Mehlem (Karl/Carl). And the design date is between 1905 and before 1 Feb 1912, most likely around 1910. The model has been in production until 27 March 1954. So that explains this model having been found with post-WW2 markings.
