Ebay item # 6176665337 is being advertised as a Mettlach item. Usually when we see this the stein's quality is laughable, so there is little danger of anyone being taken in. However, this is a nice enough pitcher, so I felt compelled to email the seller, letting him know it is manufactured by Gerz, and I gave him the reference for the bottom mark from Gary Kirsner's book. Let's see if he makes a correction! If he does not correct it, and it goes for a high price, is it a fair idea to let the winning bidder know?
