I forgot to mention that there is a partial pewterer's mark on the strap support. Here is a drawing of it: http://web.tampabay.rr.com/wbaltz/MyWebPage/BeerSteins/Workfolder4/image001.jpg I have also seen this mark on a Dumler & Breiden serving set.
