With all due respect to Frank he hasn't put in eight years of comparing capacity marks to known manufacturer's marks like David Harr and I have. So let's try a little test.

The link is to a photo of a Girmscheid capacity from a stein that has a Girmscheid factory mark. Compare this to your stein. Then I would ask Frank to show different 1/2L. capacity mark that he can verify as Girmscheid, or a stein from a different manufacturer with this capacity mark. I have a data base with over 60 different marks identified by factory based on factory logos and have yet to find two factories that used the same EXACT capacity mark.
