At some time or another most factories did some of their own pewter work. Marzi-Remy has a section in at least one of their catalogs which provides the customer a selection of pewter lids. I've seen marks from M&R, MWG, D&B, JWR, A.D. (Diesinger)HR and a couple of others I can't remember at this moment. Only about 40% of HRs are found with "factory" lids and all of the others are very scarce with factory marks. I would guess that this stein and the one identified as D&B were both lidded by a third party.
