Jos. Mayer's shop was located at 1 Loewengrube, Munich. He lists his shop as a Zinngiesserei and Porzellanmalerei. This means he had a "tin foundry" and he painted porcelain. Mayer didn't supply anyone. He purchead bodies from various factories and applied the pewter. The porcelain bodies were purchased in the white, then painted and pewtered by Mayer. He either sold the products through his own shop and/or perhaps he had several distributers handling his material. The steins by Mayer that we are most familiar with were produced between 1888 and 1895. His company was founded in 1888, but I do not know when the company ceased operations.
