The 1/4 pint beer stein I have is made in Germany before the split to east and west. It is marked on the bottom with the number 228 and "Germany" with a faint letter 3 scratched int he bottom. It has a light beige background with blue and brown design and the word PROSIT on the front. Does anyone know the maker of this stein? Value? Approximate year of production?
