Hi, I should begin by admitting that I know nothing about steins and apologize if my questions are so elementary as to be an annoyance. That being said, here’s what I’m here for…
I recently purchased a stein identical to the one featured in this link:

and wanted to know if anyone could help me with a few questions I have about it. The author of the page provided by the above link identifies this stein as one made by Mettlach when that city hosted the S.C.I. convention in 1976 but the S.C.I. homepage and other sources tell me that Mettlach didn’t host an S.C.I. convention until 1978. Can anyone clear up my confusion? Also, the markings on the bottom of the stein and the information provided by the above link indicate that this stein was meant to be produced in a run of 3000. Does anyone know if 3000 of these were actually produced? Lastly, can anyone help me place a roughly accurate value on this stein? It is in mint / unused condition.
