Thank you both (Ron & Walt) for helping with my stein questions. I'm a little confused by the information you've provided, I hope you won't mind helping me clarify. So is 1976/1 the steins "form number" if not, what is this steins form number? If 1976/1 is not the steins form number, what is it? Does it refer to the steins design and/or manufactur date? So, just to be clear, this stein has nothing to do with S.C.I. right? I've noticed that this stein does not have a capacity mark i.e., .5l or 1l, etc. Why is that? I thought all German steins featured a capacity mark of some kind. Lastly, one of you mentioned that you thought the 1976/1 indicated that this was the first stein manufactured by Mettlach in the "modern" era (after WWII). What does that mean exactly? Surely this can't be the first stein made in Mettalch since 1945. Please forgive me for all the questions but I'm really curious. Thanks again for all the help, Eric
