It's a serving stein, Mettlach #1028. If you have "The Mettlach Book" it is shown on page 63. The design is somewhat different from the half liter size. Mark Durban wrote an interesting article about this piece in Prosit. With careful study of the design he was able to identify several faces in hiding.
