Mark, I'll take a guess and say it may well be a Hanke stein. The picture isn't very clear but the 2 in the capacity mark looks very much like that used by Hanke on a 2.5L stein. Also, the blue glaze bleeds onto the gray in many areas of the stein. That apparently was common on Hankes. If my guess is wrong, we'll both know shortly!
