Josh, All steins made post WWll are considered Modern/Contemporary. Go to the SCI Home Page and click on Library. Scroll down to Your Steins: Old or New. It explains dating on German steins. You've got to keep in mind that steins date back to the 15th Century. A 20 year old stein is a baby. Dick
