I've inherited my father's stein that he got on his tour of duty in Germany. The stein has three images: centered is a robed/hooded person sitting on top of a beer barrel. In the person's left hand is a white pitcher and in the right hand is an object that looks sort of like a barbell but with green fring on both ends of the balls. Written on the barrel is "Gruss Aus Munchen." To the onlookers left is an image of buildings close together and above the buildings reads "Klg Hofbrauhaus." Then to the onlookers right is an image of a building with a statue in the front of it of a person with an animal. The person is holding out a circle (circle could be a crown). The images are framed (the frame is detailed circles) on the body of the stein. The body is navy blue with tan rims, the handle is designed to resemble wood(?) and the lid is silver/pewter. the bottom is stamped "Western Germany" and also stamped with a small triangle with a line through it. If anyone has any idea about the making/manufacturer/age of this stein it is greatly appreciated. Pictures are available, leave your e-mail address as a reply.
