I just purchased a circa WW1 musical stein, which has reliefs of Bismark, Kaiser Bill 1, Franz Joseph, Unk king (think Saxon) and Moltke the Elder; has winding key, but needs a particular small screw to securely re-affix the music box mechanism to its wooden base; it also needs a replacement for one of of the screw-in metal prongs that secures the wooden base to the bottom of the stein. Does anyone have experience with this or have suggestions for a source of spare parts; music box mechanism is definitely original (and works!), and appears to be hand made of brass, copper and steel. Not a high quality stein, but definitely early-to-pre-WW1 for patriotic market. Any help would be greatly appreciated; please contact me at Gregg.Kampschroeder@us.army.mil.
