I have rad articles in the past that indicated a % sign on the base of a Mettlach stein meant that there was a factory flaw. Is that still the generally accepted belief? I have seen Mettlachs with this % sign but could find no flaws. In other cases, I've seen these steins without the % mark which had obvious factory flaws.
