Thanks for the information, Ron. Actually, I have a lid that I think will work with the stein, but I never did anything with it because I wasn't sure whether a lid was correct for the stein or not. It's a relatively plain, old pewter lid with a 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class on its top and a crowned eagle thumb device. Steve
