Recently purchased a stein at an estate sale. Stamped on bottom with logo, then: GERZ W.GERMANY 7 Ceramic w/ cobalt blue background, relief appears to be of Munich "city hall" (guessing, but likely) on one side, and a street on the other. Relief of Munich Child in center inside a circle, with "MUNCHEN" below. Lid is unknown, possibally pewter (I'm very new to stein collecting, this is my first), but doubtful. Stamp inside is REINN ZINN with an unidentifiable mark in the middle. Stein has small booklet attached by cord. Two German texts (too lengthy for full post), and one English. Attached to stein by cord. English begins: "Rhineland Stoneware by GERZ. Now you are in posession of a product from one of the oldest stoneware-factories in the world." Due to the booklet, I am guessing this is either a reproduction, or one of the newer GERZ steins (they manufactured until the late 1990's, yes?). Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.
