Thanks for the reply John, this is getting quite interesting, I feel like Sherlock Homles lol I've had another look for a makers mark, the only thing apart from a couple of numbers are a small n above a capital M in red, any ideas?? This is quite a plain Stein, with a coat of arms and a pewter lid. Are there any value to these Steins for van Hauten?? as we need to inform the insurance company of any individual items over £200 as we've just changed companies. Would you know of anywhere that I may find more literature on van Hauten?? Thanks again.
