Yes thanks John, I now know it's a Mettlach Stein with a Prussia coat of arms decorated by Van Hauten, circa 1890-1914 as you said (I sent Walt some pics) valued around $300-$400 Fascinating stuff, you guys certainly know your Steins. With Christmas round the corner, it may well have to go on Ebay. Thanks again
