I'm trying to learn more about this stein. At least I think it is a stein. Doesn't have a pewter lid. Don't know if it is gone or if it did not have one. The stein was made Germany it is marked on the bottom. Has the number 5 and the numbers 1253 also on the bottom. close to the lip at the top of the handle it looks as if someone tried to sign their name or initials. Click the links below for pictures.
